Recoup’s BioHiTech Revolution Series includes the Seed (up to 500 lbs.), Sprout (up to 650 lbs.), Cypress (up to 1,100 lbs.), Mangrove (up to 1,400 lbs.), and Sequoia (up to 2,400 lbs.). Once installed, BioHiTech Analytics reports utilization by hour of day, giving you clear insights into whether your capacity matches your volume.
Check for water and sewer connections, a 115-volt or 220-volt power source, and floor space near where food waste is generated. Footprints range from 30″ W x 30″ D for the Seed to 72″ W x 44″ D for the Sequoia. Electrical use is roughly equal to three 100-watt light bulbs, and effluent drains to the sewer line, so no dedicated outdoor storage space is needed.
Recoup’s support includes installation, and your team is trained on the digester at startup. Daily operation takes three steps: open the hatch door, add food waste, and close the hatch door. A status light shows green when the unit is ready and red when it is full. After launch, a customer success manager monitors usage and performance through BioHiTech Analytics, and Recoup provides ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting support.

Recoup digesters are designed to process a wide range of food waste types like, fruit, vegetables, cooked and uncooked meat and poultry, fish, dairy, bakery items, etc. The machine cannot process anything that is not food waste and cannot be easily broken down such as large bones, mussel and clam shells, pineapple tops, packaging, general waste or cutlery. Placing the wrong items into the machine could cause damage and could void the warranty.
